Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy Skates Past St. Anthony with Ease

Chesterton Academy posted their biggest win since January 16th on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 66-38 victory over the St. Anthony Roman Legion. Chesterton Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 28 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Anthony lost, don't look at Anthony Ruvalcaba. Despite the final result, he posted eight points in addition to ten boards and six steals. What's more, Ruvalcaba also posted five blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josh Morales, who put up nine points.

Chesterton Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for St. Anthony, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Chesterton Academy has already played their next game, a 50-40 defeat against Cristo Rey on the 13th. As for St. Anthony, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-30 victory against Hmong American Peace Academy on the 13th.
