Volleyball Recap: Greenfield Takes a Loss

Greenfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Allis Central Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 1st.

Emett Bruhn paced Greenfield's offense, picking up five kills. Bruhn got some help from Romario Ortega and his 14 assists. Finally, Ortega was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for West Allis Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-15.

Greenfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Augustine Prep on the 18th. As for West Allis Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Pewaukee on the 18th.
