Volleyball Recap: North Hardin Trojans vs. Meade County Green Waves
North Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Meade County Green Waves. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Green Waves when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
North Hardin took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-12, 19-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-11.
Meade County found their leader in sophomore Zoey Gonzales, who had 18 digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Gonzales. Ava Frank also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
North Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Meade County, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. North Hardin will head out to square off against Bardstown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Meade County, they will venture away from home to take on Sayre at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
