Volleyball Recap: Buena Comes Up Short

Buena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Rio Mesa Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 23-25, 25-5.

Buena's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Rio Mesa, they pushed their record up to 14-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buena will head out to challenge Bishop Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Mesa, they will venture away from home to face off against Oaks Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
