            Basketball Recap: Middletown Middies vs. Princeton Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Middletown can now relate to. They had to suffer through  a    62-29 loss at the hands of the Princeton Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season,  with their most recent  loss being a  65-23  defeat  back in January.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Princeton to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Mari Gerton, who  en route to 15  points and four  steals. Gerton's big performance that  evening made it six games in a row in which  she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was  Erin Thomas, who  to rack up 13 points.
Middletown has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record  this season. The  win was  the tenth in a row for Princeton, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
 Middletown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Princeton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  63-57  victory against Sycamore on the 22nd.
