Softball Game Preview: Franklin Pierce Cardinals vs. Cascade Christian Cougars

The Franklin Pierce Cardinals are taking a road trip to square off against the Cascade Christian Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin Pierce knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Cascade Christian likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Franklin Pierce made easy work of Foss and carried off a 23-3 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by nine runs or more this season.

Katrina Proby was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Elijah Brown, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Franklin Pierce always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .791. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Cascade Christian came up short against Bishop Blanchet on Thursday and fell 6-3.

Franklin Pierce pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Cascade Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
