Littleton and Manual squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Littleton had to settle for second. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manual Thunderbolts. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
Littleton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Ceirra Wilburn led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Olivia May also made seven total tackles, which is notable because Littleton is 4-2 when she posts at least four total tackles, but 3-7 otherwise.
Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Manual, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Littleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manual, they will challenge Vista Ridge at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Manual: 9.2, Vista Ridge: 6.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
