Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Southeastern Royals vs. Carmel Greyhounds

Hamilton Southeastern is 2-8 against Carmel since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hamilton Southeastern Royals will head out to take on the Carmel Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. Hamilton Southeastern has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three matchups.

On Tuesday, Hamilton Southeastern didn't have too much trouble with Indianapolis Metropolitan as they won 65-50. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Pumas are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carmel came up short against Lawrence North on Thursday, falling 62-37. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Hamilton Southeastern didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Carmel in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 45-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamilton Southeastern since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
