Baseball Recap: Apopka Find Success

Apopka won the last time they faced Lyman and things went their way on Thursday too. The Apopka Blue Darters sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Lyman Greyhounds.

Maddox Stinson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Apopka's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Jaggers, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs Jaggers has posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory got Apopka back to even at 1-1. As for Lyman, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apopka will welcome Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lyman, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Seminole at 6:00 p.m.
