Basketball Recap: Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 59-30 defeat at the hands of the San Pasqual Valley Warriors. The Roadrunners have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Phoenix Day School for the Deaf lost, don't look at Joseph Trent. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and five boards. Indio Riveria-Padilla also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

San Pasqual Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Martinez out in front who had 18 points. Martinez's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Josh Vasquez was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for San Pasqual Valley, they moved to 5-12 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.
