Baseball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

Coleman had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-8 to make it five. They lost 10-0 to the Fulton Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Fulton, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

For Fulton's part, Parker Hungerford was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Hungerford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Robert Kral, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fulton beat Coleman by a score of 13-1 later that day.
