Soccer Recap: Weddington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weddington fought the good fight in their overtime match against Marvin Ridge on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Weddington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Marvin Ridge are ranked sixth).

Weddington has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-3 record this season. As for Marvin Ridge, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1.
