Basketball Recap: Illinois Valley Central Takes a Loss

Illinois Valley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The match between them and the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs didn't end well, with the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts falling 48-34. While losing is never fun, the Grey Ghosts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Chiefs are ranked 51st).

Illinois Valley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, their win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-3.
