Volleyball Recap: West Jordan Beats Hillcrest for Their Fourth Straight Win

West Jordan waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Hillcrest Huskies by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory didn't come easy: Hillcrest scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19.

Erilyn Lokeni paced West Jordan's offense, picking up 19 kills. Lokeni got some help from Jardine Faasipa and her 44 assists. Finally, Lokeni was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

West Jordan's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Hillcrest, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coming up, West Jordan will venture away from home to take on Kearns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillcrest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Delta on the 19th.
