Football Game Preview: South Rowan Raiders vs. Bandys Trojans

The South Rowan Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Bandys Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Rowan's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Rowan is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Carson on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Bandys fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Hickory on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Tornadoes by a score of 47-45. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (36), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

South Rowan will have to contain Brady Swett as he made an impact in Bandys' last game. He threw for 365 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown. Ryder McClure was in the mix too, providing Bandys with two scores.

Bandys didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Kayden Henrickson was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself.

South Rowan's record now sits at 3-7. As for Bandys, their record is now 5-5.
