Meade won the last time they faced Kiowa County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buffaloes narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mavericks 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Meade who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-15.

Jaylee Eckhoff paced Meade's offense, picking up ten kills. Eckhoff got some help from Sayler Stapleton and her 19 assists.

Meade's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-12. As for Kiowa County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Kiowa County has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Hodgeman County on the 7th. Hopefully Meade paid attention to the Mavericks' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mavericks on Saturday.
