Baseball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County and Lafayette squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Union County had to settle for second. They fell 7-2 to the Hornets. The Fightin' Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 14-15. As for Lafayette, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

While Union County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
