Oakton and Chantilly are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Oakton Cougars will host the Chantilly Chargers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Oakton came up short against James Madison and fell 49-39.

Meanwhile, Chantilly escaped with a win on Saturday against Centreville by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53.

Oakton's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Chantilly, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Things could have been worse for Oakton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-41 loss to Chantilly in their previous matchup back in January. Can Oakton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
