Flag Football Game Preview: Desert Mountain Wolves vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints + Official Tickets

The Desert Mountain Wolves will challenge the Notre Dame Prep Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Desert Mountain is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since November 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Horizon by a score of 16-14. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Desert Mountain had strong showings from Rhianna Ortiz Hernandez, who gained 69 total yards and two touchdowns, and Caroline Workman, who threw for 171 yards and one TD. Workman also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep fell victim to Lake Havasu and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-0 to the Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Notre Dame Prep now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Desert Mountain, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.

Desert Mountain skirted past Notre Dame Prep 9-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
