Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covington). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging an 85-50 victory over the Craigmont Chiefs. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Chiefs are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Covington pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Craigmont, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Covington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-50 defeat against Humboldt on the 18th. As for Craigmont, they will venture away from home to face off against Raleigh-Egypt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
