Basketball Recap: Grundy County Takes a Loss

If Grundy County was feeling good fresh off their 57-15 takedown of Linn County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grundy County Panthers fell 44-37 to the Meadville Eagles on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Grundy County's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Meadville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Grundy County will head out to square off against Winston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grundy County is facing Winston at the right time seeing as Winston is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Meadville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-37 win against Newtown-Harris on the 31st.
