Softball Game Preview: Broome Centurions vs. Woodruff Wolverines

The Broome Centurions will head out on the road to take on the Woodruff Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodruff took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Broome, who comes in off a win.

Broome proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over High Point Academy.

Meanwhile, Woodruff came up short against Union County on Tuesday and fell 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost three in a row.

Broome's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Woodruff, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Broome suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Woodruff in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Broome avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
