Baseball Recap: Teays Valley Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Teays Valley nor Newark made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Vikings fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in April.

Teays Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Newark, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Teays Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Pickerington Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Newark will square off against rival Reynoldsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
