Football Recap: Whitney Wildcats vs. Jesuit Marauders
Whitney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Jesuit Marauders, falling 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Marauders are ranked 122nd).
Carson Floyd threw for 126 yards on ten of 20 attempts.
Cameron Taylor II was his top target, rushing for 31 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 70 receiving yards. On the ground,
Gettis Rose rushed for 40 yards, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.
Jesuit got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Effiong Jr. out in front who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
