Recap: Central Rockets vs. Mourning Sharks

The Central Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-38 win over Mourning on the road. The victory was nothing new for Central as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Christ Guillod out in front who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals. Guillod is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dwight Carter, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Mourning lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kristopher Jean-Jacques, who scored eight points. Junior Decarde was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Mourning, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Central and the Pioneers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Miami will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Rockets are ranked 153rd). As for Mourning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully North Miami Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
