Grandview Heights gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Westland Cougars 6-5. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Sam Bandy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Westland is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grandview Heights will take on Centennial at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westland, they will square off against Central Crossing at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
