Football Recap: Dveen Aghanian and Arman Asaduriyan Pace Hoover Defense

Hoover extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They fell 21-10 to the Burroughs Bears. The Tornados were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Hoover didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dveen Aghanian and Arman Asaduriyan. Asaduriyan also made five total tackles, which is notable because Hoover is 2-1 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 0-4 otherwise.

As for Burroughs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points over those games.

Burroughs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Chapparo led the charge by rushing for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 120 yards on 11 of 20 attempts. Chapparo's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Another back making a difference was Sho Fujita, who rushed for 114 yards.
