Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles

The Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors will challenge the Mount Paran Christian Eagles on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Southwest Atlanta Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 70-36 victory over King's Ridge Christian. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Tigers are ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mount Paran Christian had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.6 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They blew past Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, posting a 63-24 win.

Southwest Atlanta Christian pushed their record up to 24-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for Mount Paran Christian, their win bumped their record up to 25-3.

Southwest Atlanta Christian took a serious blow against Mount Paran Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 76-40. Can Southwest Atlanta Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
