Basketball Recap: Worland Comes Up Short

Worland had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Kelly Walsh Trojans 66-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since January 23rd.

Kelly Walsh got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Alvar out in front who went 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Duncan Gillum, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and five boards.

Worland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-34 defeat against Natrona County on the 12th. As for Kelly Walsh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-48 loss against Lovell on the 11th.
