Softball Game Preview: Mt. Mansfield Cougars vs. Middlebury Tigers

Mt. Mansfield is 0-4 against Middlebury since May of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Mt. Mansfield is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell 12-8 to U-32.

Norah Ades was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Alison LeBlanc was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Middlebury also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Bellows Free Academy by a score of 7-3. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bobwhites/Comets: they've now lost six in a row.
