Basketball Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were dealt a 73-42 defeat at the hands of the Colony Knights. The game marked the Moose's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Colony was led to victory by Leyton Lockard and Mylz Mongeau. Lockard went 7 of 13 en route to 19 points, while Mongeau went 6 for 11 on his way to 18 points and six assists. Lockard's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Eli Whitworth, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Palmer fell to 6-1. As for Colony, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Palmer has already played their next contest, an 81-53 victory against Houston on the 16th. As for Colony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-54 win against Juneau-Douglas on the 16th.
