Softball Recap: Pearsall Takes a Loss

Pearsall suffered their closest defeat since February 28, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of the Lytle Pirates by a score of 4-2. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Victoria Hughes was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That hit marked the first that she has got this season.

Pearsall's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lytle, they pushed their record up to 2-1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pearsall will be taking part in a tournament against Crystal City at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Lytle, they will challenge Bandera at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
