Softball Recap: Mclean Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

McLean had won four straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 11-0 to make it five. They never let the Washington-Liberty Generals get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won nine in a row.

As for Washington-Liberty, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8. The game marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

For Washington-Liberty's part, Zoe Schroeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on 11 hits.

Coincidentally, McLean and Washington-Liberty will both be playing George C. Marshall the next time they take the field. The Generals will host the Statesmen at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Highlanders will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
