Volleyball Game Preview: Van Wert Cougars vs. Ottawa-Glandorf Titans

Van Wert hasn't had much luck against Ottawa-Glandorf recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out to face off against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Van Wert faced off against Jefferson on Monday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Van Wert might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Jefferson scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Ottawa-Glandorf had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Braves.

Van Wert better keep an eye on Gracie Lammers. She was instrumental in Ottawa-Glandorf's win, getting 15 digs and two assists. Lammers is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Van Wert's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-16. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Van Wert might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Ottawa-Glandorf in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
