Softball Recap: Hemphill Comes Up Short

Hemphill had taken West Sabine down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Hemphill Hornets fell 5-2 to the West Sabine Tigers. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Hemphill's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for West Sabine, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Hemphill will face off against Corrigan-Camden at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Sabine, they will take on Colmesneil at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
