With a playoff win on the line, Norwayne rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Africentric Early College Nubians by a score of 49-40. The win was familiar territory for the Bobcats, who have now won 19 matches in a row.

Ava Maibach was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-20 en route to 27 points along with seven boards and five steals. Those 27 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hannah Froelich, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.

Norwayne's victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Africentric Early College, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 20-8 record.

Coming up, Norwayne will challenge Portsmouth at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Norwayne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season. Africentric Early College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
