Despite the loss, Leyton still got an impressive performance from Colt Van Anne, who threw for 66 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 44 yards. Austin Beutler was in the mix as well, providing Leyton with two touchdowns.
Leyton wouldn't let Diller-Odell keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jeremiah Hajek, Kaleb Miller, and Alec Watchorn picked up one apiece.
Leyton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Diller-Odell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Leyton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Diller-Odell, they will face off against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Diller-Odell surely won't give up without a fight.
