Softball Recap: Byrd Yellow Jackets vs. Captain Shreve Gators
Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell victim to a rough 21-4 loss at the hands of the Captain Shreve Gators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Byrd of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Byrd saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Davis, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Captain Shreve, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
