It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mater Dei had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mascoutah Indians, sneaking past 2-1. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Leading Mater Dei to victory were Ava Lampe and Lauren Jamruk. Lampe had 17 digs and four assists, while Jamruk had ten digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Jamruk a new career-high.

Emma Price and Bailey Seibert certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Price had three digs and three aces, while Seibert had 11 digs and one assist. Price is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Mater Dei's victory bumped their record up to 33-6. As for Mascoutah, they moved to 28-11 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Coming up, Mater Dei will square off against Normal University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mascoutah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
