Basketball Recap: Northwood Temple Academy Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

With a playoff win on the line, Northwood Temple Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-54 victory over the Westchester Country Day Wildcats. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Wildcats are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jalen Harris, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (five). Elijah Kindle was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Northwood Temple Academy's win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Westchester Country Day, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
