Basketball Game Preview: Granville Blue Aces vs. Watkins Memorial Warriors

The Granville Blue Aces are taking a road trip to challenge the Watkins Memorial Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Granville didn't have quite enough to beat Whetstone and fell 48-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Aces came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Braves are ranked 715th).

Meanwhile, Watkins Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 70-48 to Licking Heights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since January 11th.

Granville's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Watkins Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Granville strolled past Watkins Memorial in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 70-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
