Basketball Game Preview: Man Hillbillies vs. Meadow Bridge Wildcats

The Man Hillbillies will head out on the road to face off against the Meadow Bridge Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Man and four for Meadow Bridge.

Last Friday, Man came up short against Liberty and fell 49-38.

Meanwhile, Meadow Bridge suffered their closest loss since February 14, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Mount View by a score of 48-45. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Knights 11-4 in the first quarter.

Man will need to focus on slowing down Riley Roberts, one of several Meadow Bridge players who made an impact when they last played. She went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points. Roberts continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierston Rozell, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Meadow Bridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Man's record is now 2-11. As for Meadow Bridge, their record now sits at 4-9.

Man suffered a grim 61-40 defeat to Meadow Bridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Man avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
