Basketball Recap: Rapid River Takes a Loss

Rapid River played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the North Dickinson Nordics, falling 73-49. The defeat continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Nordics: they've now lost five in a row.

Rapid River's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for North Dickinson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rapid River will challenge Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Dickinson, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against L'Anse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Nordics will need to watch out since the Purple Hornets have now posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
