Baseball Game Preview: Proctor Phantoms vs. Blue Mountain Bucks

The Proctor Phantoms will head out to face off against the Blue Mountain Bucks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Proctor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over West Rutland.

Proctor got a massive performance out of Aaron Brock, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Pomeroy, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Proctor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Blue Mountain entered their tilt with Poultney on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 13-0 win.

Blue Mountain's record is now 11-2. As for Proctor, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Proctor suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Blue Mountain in their previous matchup back in May. Can the Phantoms avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
