Northwest Christian will head out to challenge Friday Harbor at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Friday Harbor will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Northwest Christian extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Wolverines blew past Quilcene 9-3.

Joseph Meier was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Parker Cox, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Friday Harbor came out on top against Concrete on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Wolverines never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.
Mason Smith and Floyd Holman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Smith tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Holman kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At bat, Smith went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Holman went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Joseph Holt was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Jonny Huntemer also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Friday Harbor, their record now sits at 10-6.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Northwest Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .471. However, it's not like Friday Harbor struggles in that department as they've averaged .478. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northwest Christian came up short against Friday Harbor in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 9-5. Can Northwest Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
