Baseball Recap: Sleepy Eye Takes a Loss

Sleepy Eye was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 11-6 to the St. Mary's Knights. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

J Fulmer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Sleepy Eye's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for St. Mary's, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sleepy Eye beat the Knights by a score of 12-2 later that day.
