Volleyball Recap: Amanda-Clearcreek's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Logan Elm, Amanda-Clearcreek was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Philo Electrics with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Aces as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-15.

Olivia Gaal paced Amanda-Clearcreek's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gaal got some help from Channing Riley and her 19 assists. Olivia Davis and Gavynn Sowers kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Amanda-Clearcreek's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Philo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

Amanda-Clearcreek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bloom-Carroll on the 16th. As for Philo, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Maysville on the 16th.
