Baseball Game Preview: Springfield Bulldogs vs. Pine Raiders

For the second straight game, Springfield will face off against Pine. Springfield will be playing at home against Pine at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

While Springfield's win against Pine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Springfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Pine on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-3. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Brady Stewart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brock Cothern, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Will Sanders, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Pine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
