Canton waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Van Vandals 65-24. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Vandals are ranked 612th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canton's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for Van, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.

Canton will challenge Lindale at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van, they will square off against Mabank at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
