Volleyball Preview: Parlier Panthers vs. Sierra Chieftains

Meanwhile, Sierra narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Chowchilla 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chieftains.
Sierra wouldn't go down easily and took Chowchilla into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 24-26, 25-18, 15-11.
Among those leading the charge was Kaidence Begaye, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolee Harshman, who had 14 digs and three aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Sierra was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Parlier's record is now 15-9-2. As for Sierra, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
